Adobe CEO’s advise for entrepreneurs
The Adobe CEO told entrepreneurs that there has never been a better time to be one, Narayen advised them to live their dreams and make most of opportunities driven by emerging technologies. The respected Indian-origin techie, who is fondly called manavadu (one of their own), further suggested entrepreneurs to never take no for an answer and stop pursuing their dreams.
“The thing that I would always tell entrepreneurs is that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste,” Narayen highlighted as he cited Adobe’s decision to shift to a subscription model, during the Great Recession about 15 years ago, which helped it emerge even stronger.
On some of the qualities that entrepreneurs should possess, the CEO said, “If you are an impatient entrepreneur, it is perhaps a quality to appreciate. Entrepreneurship is never taking a no for an answer.”
Narayen, who took over Adobe in 2007, said that his goal as CEO is to just say they cannot be in a position where all they are trying to do is preserve the status quo.
Meanwhile, the 59-year-old was awarded the title of CEO of the year 2022 during TiE Global Summit 2022. On the occasion, Telangana Industries Minister Rao pitched for setting up Adobe’s next campus in the State.
