Footage of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Leaks Onto The Internet

We finally have some core footage of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, which was leaked onto the internet recently. A video of more than 2 minutes was leaked that showcased the world, combat as well as other gameplay mechanics of this mobile game. Codename Jade was originally announced during the Assassin’s Creed showcase during the Ubisoft Forward back on September 10. Alongside, Codename Jade, several other upcoming Assassin’s Creed games were announced.

The leaked video was originally posted in the Assassin’s Creed subreddit which was then shared to the r/GamingLeaksandRumors subreddit. The footage seems to be the early build of the game as there is no voiceover. So, it is likely played by a playtester. The streamable link can be found here.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Details

In the leaked footage we see the main character beyond the Great Wall of China, with the objective of protecting the protecting Yongning Village. The UI seems to mirror that of the recent Assassin’s Creed games starting from Origins. Moreover, one of the enemy’s levels is 40, so this could mean the player’s level is also 40. As such, the mission of the leaked footage might be fairly late in Codename Jade.

In addition to that, the combat in Codename Jade looks to be fairly simple. The player character is seen dual-wielding swords and engaging in combat. The light attacks are done by lightly pressing the buttons and the heavy attacks are done by pressing them heavily. We then get a look at some more cutscenes which are highly detailed with proper animations.

The player character is introduced as Dengling Bai, Juzi of the Mohists. We are also introduced to Wei Yu, Leader of Moxia and Mohist Warrior. Wei Yu is seen as an ally of Dengling Bai in the leaked footage. It is unknown whether the player character is highly customizable like in the newer Assassin’s Creed games or with normal customization options like in the early games. The gameplay, visuals and mechanics of the game look close to a PC game, so it seems that Ubisoft is sparing no expense in making Codename Jade a proper Assassin’s Creed game.
